Betterbot began as a BuilderMind initiative to help multifamily leasing teams engage renters 24/7 without increasing staff. We built the first full production version of Betterbot — a conversational AI platform that automated lead capture, tour scheduling, and renter communication.
The product quickly gained traction, delivered measurable leasing outcomes, and ultimately spun off into a standalone company co-founded by BuilderMind’s founder. While Betterbot has since evolved into a broader agentic AI suite, the original conversational engine and leasing automation workflows we created laid the groundwork for its early success.
Objectives
Impact
Developed automation flows and natural-language interactions powering renter engagement.
Delivered a fully operational assistant used by top multifamily brands to capture and convert leads around the clock.
Enabled the assistant to serve diverse renter audiences with accessible communication options.
Created automated appointment-setting flows that increased conversion and reduced workload for leasing teams.
Brighter Image, a long-standing BuilderMind client in the facilities maintenance industry, needed a modern, scalable web application to replace their aging internal system. Outdated workflows were slowing project managers, limiting throughput, and delaying payment cycles.
BuilderMind partnered with their team to design and launch BrighTrax — a proprietary web-based workflow platform that streamlines the full lifecycle from work order to payment. The platform equips project managers with real-time visibility, reduces operational friction, and strengthens the company’s ability to scale efficiently.
Objectives
Impact
Upgraded the legacy platform into a modern, high-performance web application.
Streamlined the entire process from job initiation to payment, reducing manual steps and errors.
Delivered a cloud-based platform that supports real-time updates and centralized task management.
Designed with scalability in mind, enabling seamless integration of future AI-driven enhancements.
Witness to War partnered with BuilderMind to envision the next generation of their digital archive — a collection of 10,000+ veteran interviews spanning decades of history. Their goal: make these stories easier to search, navigate, and understand through modern AI, while preserving their emotional and historical impact.
BuilderMind proposed a modernization plan centered around conversational discovery, automated transcription, intelligent tagging, and a redesigned platform built for speed, accessibility, and future AI enhancements.
Objectives
Impact (Projected)
Natural-language navigation to help users explore interviews by topic, conflict, emotion, or historical theme.
AI-generated transcripts and metadata that surface insights buried inside lengthy video content.
A complete rebuild of the site’s front- and backend for improved performance, accessibility, and long-term maintainability.
Filtering and discovery tools that make it easy to navigate thousands of interviews by relevance, era, or story type.
Steppingblocks set out to build a data-driven platform that helps students and professionals make smarter career decisions through real outcomes, not guesswork.
Before they had a product, traction, or even a clear feature roadmap, they needed a working prototype — something solid enough to test, validate, and pitch to early partners.
BuilderMind stepped in as their technical build partner, helping transform an idea into a functional product that served as the foundation for their future platform.
Objectives
Impact
Built the first working version of the platform with core user flows, data layers, and an early analytics engine.
Created the initial design system and intuitive navigation for students, counselors, and administrators.
Developed the first ingestion and processing pipeline to begin generating career-insight data.
Architected the prototype to evolve into a full SaaS product without requiring a rebuild.
No Doubt Homes, a multi-million-dollar concrete works company, relied on a proprietary Scala-based system to power daily operations across scheduling, bids, and field management.
Over time, the platform became difficult to maintain, slowing productivity and creating operational risk. For nearly a decade, BuilderMind served as their technical partner — enhancing the platform, stabilizing infrastructure, and keeping mission-critical workflows running smoothly.
Objectives
Impact
A decade of updates, enhancements, and maintenance to keep the system stable and compliant.
Refactored slow components, improved backend speed, and increased reliability of scheduling and data processing.
Proactive monitoring and fast response times minimized operational disruptions for field and office teams.
Advised on system planning, risk mitigation, and when to modernize versus extend the existing platform.
Once again, we partnered with Witness to War, a national nonprofit. With a large video archive, they needed to reduce rising AWS costs and eliminate inefficiencies caused by outdated infrastructure.
BuilderMind overhauled their backend systems, migrated all content to a more affordable storage environment, and rebuilt their transcoding workflow — creating a faster, cleaner, and far more sustainable operation.
Objectives
Impact
Migrated thousands of video files into a lower-cost, highly reliable storage environment.
Rebuilt the workflow so files process automatically, eliminating manual steps.
Streamlined legacy infrastructure, improved media delivery speed, and simplified ongoing management.
Clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and consistent support throughout the project.
